Under the new Legal Professions Act, BC’s legal professionals, including lawyers, notaries and paralegals who choose to be licensed, will be regulated by a single entity called Legal Professions BC. The transition to create the new entity is now underway, with work guided by a Transitional Board, Indigenous Council, Advisory Committee and other stakeholders.
On this website, you’ll find latest information about the transition, our progress and key updates. You can also access meeting minutes and agendas relating to the transition work. Once the transition work is complete, a new website for Legal Professions BC will be created.
